We make masks to save lives
Masketeers is a group of individuals with a passion for helping our community fight COVID - 19. We believe that a simple actions can make a difference in the community. Our team works tirelessly each day to make and deliver fabric masks to the most vulnerable and underserved in our community.
WHO WE ARE
Our Beginning
We all met over social media and began working together in mid-March 2020 under the leadership of Dr. Cathy Wang, a family physician, that believed fabric masks could help stop the spread of the virus in Nursing Homes. We are now providing masks to first responders, homeless and underserved families. Since March of 2020 we have made and delivered over 5500 masks to families and individuals living and working in Contra Costa County.

Helping The Community
Over 2000 people are homeless in Contra Costa County alone. The Contra Costa Health, Housing and Homeless Services provides a wide range of valuable services to our homeless community and we are delighted to help them provide fabric masks as one element of protection against COVID - 19.
FOOD BANK OF CONTRA COSTA AND SOLANO COUNTIES
Outreach to others in need
The Food Bank of Contra Costa and Solano Counties is a member of Feeding America and California Association of Food Banks. They work with nearly 200 Partner Agencies to serve families in Contra Costa and Solano counties at soup kitchens, food pantries, after-school programs, snack programs and other service sites. Through this organization, we provide masks to underserved families and children in our community.
